Cinder Cat
Taping Policy
Audience taping is permitted and encouraged at all CinderCat shows. We believe that the taping of shows is helpful in the encouragement of fan interaction and a way of having a permanent memory of our performances. We feel each of our shows are unique so we encourage the trading of our shows for non-commercial purposes. If CinderCat is playing at an event which features multiple /artists, the taping policy of the headliner and/or the festival event will dictate the taping policy. All taping of live performances of CinderCat is restricted to audio only; NO VIDEO taping will be allowed without prior consent of CinderCat, or management Audio recording is limited to portable equipment which includes microphones and a recorder. Power or other auxiliary equipment are generally not supplied, so be prepared to bring your own battery powered equipment. Soundboard feeds will not be allowed without first submitting a sample to our management so we are better able to build an archive of recordings that are consistent with the live show. This is not because we are worried about bootlegging or feel that we are too big for unofficial soundboard recordings. The fact is that many soundboard recordings sound nothing like our live show and may contain material which is copyrighted by another artist that restricts us from allowing soundboard recordings. Approved tapers are permitted to multitrack record after first obtaining additional approval from our manager or archiver to discuss providing us with copies of the raw tracks and your final mix before any multitrack recording can be shared. To get approved to upload soundboards please contact us for consideration about the show you intend to record. Matrix recordings are allowed with a mix of no less than 60% microphones / 40% soundboard ONLY and when soundboard access is allowed by the sound engineer. If the taping policy of the venue does not allow access to the soundboard please respect their policy. We do not allow monitor/stage mixes without first getting approval. The taping policy of the venue always supersedes the taping policy of ConderCat. We ask that you please be considerate of those around you by not obstructing anyone else's view of the performance. We do not allow incomplete shows to be uploaded or shared, meaning shows with music missing or edited out, without approval. If you wish to tape, we encourage you to arrive early to set up and to bring extra batteries to assure a complete recording. Power will not be supplied to you. Trading of shows is a large part of recreating the live experience and we want to offer this option to fans. All taping must be for personal and non-commercial use only. No profit is ever to be made from the taping of ConderCat. You're permitted to trade shows with others fans for an equal amount of media and/or postage (ie. 2 CDs for 2 CDs). You may trade via analog or digital transfer. Please be considerate and keep clear of the crew before and during the show. Remember that the audience's enjoyment of a live show is paramount and will NEVER be sacrificed to accommodate tapers. Please refrain at all times from requesting fans to move or keep quiet. Please respect other fans while you are taping so that everyone enjoys the show.
Rock On? Tape On!
